Zee plans to outsource its in-house programmes

Zee Telefilms is planning to outsource production work for some of its programmes to independent production houses. Some in-house programmes that have been given to an outside production houses are Zee-N-You, Aap Jo Bole Haan to Haan Aap Jo Bole Na to Na, including some of the in-house promos.

According to industry sources, the in-house team of directors, cameramen and senior production staff had left some time during the first week of November. It is also understood that 13-15 people from the in-house ZED channel team may also leave. The channel will have only three or four graphics people.

The in-house team in Mumbai also worked on Alpha channels. The entire administration and programming office for two channels-- namely, Alpha Bengali and Alpha Punjabi - have been shifted to Kolkata and Delhi, respectively. However, in Mumbai, Alpha Marathi and Gujarati still exist.
