Zee Network appoints Amitabh Kumar as head of technology division

Zee Network has appointed the former director (operations) of Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL), Amitabh Kumar, as the head of its technology division. Kumar will be in charge of the media network’s satellite and uplinking operations.

In the last few months, Zee Network has seen some new recruitment in the top management. Sandeep Goyal, formerly the president of advertising agency Rediffusion Y&R, had been inducted as the Zee group broadcasting CEO in May.

The media conglomerate's education arm, Zee Interactive Learning Systems, is now without its head, as president and chief executive officer, Uma Ganesh has stepped down from the post last week. Dilip Mahapatra, who was the earlier head of the ZILS branches, has been taken in Ganesh's position.
