Zee admits being complacent about competition from Aaj Tak

Zee news on admitted it has been `complacent' about increasing competition from TV Today Network promoted channel Aaj Tak and said it was in the midst of chalking out a comprehensive strategy to maintain its lead in news programming.

While asserting that Zee News was still the number one 24 hour news channel, at present an internal evaluation was going on about the strengths and weaknesses of Zee vs those of Aaj Tak and the final decision on what programming to follow would be undertaken after the SWOT analysis was over.
