Vijay TV’s Gold Galatta contest

Chennai-based Vijay TV has announced a unique contest, Gold Galatta, worth Rs 8 lakhs. Spanning a period of four weeks, Vijay TV would give away one gold coin each for correct answers on every programme telecast between 1900 hrs and 2300 hrs from Mondays to Fridays. The contest, which commenced on July 16, would be on for a month.

The viewer has to dial the designated telephone number within 15 minutes from the time the question is put. The question needs to be answered in the right format and the winner is announced in an hour’s time. If one doesn’t win the first time, there is an opportunity to be a winner every 30 minutes, says the channel.
