UTVi to expand broadband channel

UTV Interactive (UTVi), plans to sign agreements with fifteen broadband service providers and ISPs who are in the final stages of providing last mile connection to the subscribers home, to stream its broadband channel Sharkstream.com around the country.

It is the first broadband service in Asia to roll out wide varieties of streaming music, video-on-demand and live events in regional languages including Hindi and Tamil.

UTVi is already providing similar services in the Asian languages including Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, among others. It offers more than 10 video and 50 audio channels on demand on its broadband service.
