UTV to invest Rs 50cr in DTH, broadband foray

United Television (UTV) has decided to invest Rs 50 crore for multiple initiatives in the DTH arena and is forging ahead with tie-ups to expand it’s broadband site sharkstream.com. UTV is in talks with Reliance, Spectranet , Ortel in Orissa, Satyam and cable networks for the scale-up of broadband streaming service and is preparing to introduce 4 niche channels for DTH telecast.
