TV Today negotiating with SET to create joint platform

TV Today Network is negotiating with Sony Entertainment Television to set up a common distribution platform as an option to the existing channel bouquets of Zee and STAR. Also to be included in the proposed platform are channels like MTV and Discovery.

TV Today Network have been talking to SET on creating a common distribution platform. This will involve creation of a third bouquet of channels other than the two available right now from STAR and Zee. The negotiations are still at a preliminary stage.

TV Today Network felt the need for such a tie-up as the concept of direct-to-home may become a reality in India in the near future, and a comprehensive bouquet would then be of help.

In the proposed bouquet, there will be news from Aaj Tak, Music from MTV, entertainment from Sony and Sony Max, business news from CNBC and nature/wildlife from Discovery. This will then hold the potential to become a third option other than the two existing bouquets.
