Star, Zee may join hands on DTH issue

Both Zee TV and Star TV have not ruled out the possibility of coming together in future again if market forces demand that broad alliances are necessary to leverage local content globally especially in the case of DTH. Both the chief executives, while participating earlier in a session of Entertainment and Leisure, had dwelt on the need for companies to come together to form broad alliances to leverage the global and domestic market better with local (Indian) content. Star TV has ruled out a possibility of a Star-DD DTH alliance.
