Star to launch DTH service, looks for new JV

Star Group Limited is in the process of fine-tuning a blueprint for foryas in KU-band direct-to-home TV services in India, which includes a new joint venture with an Indian partner. This joint venture will be addition to its Indian subsidiary—Star India Limited.

Dwelling on the investments likely to be made by Star in the proposed DTH venture, the spokesperson said “Any service launched by Star will be top-of-the line in terms of service, quality and content. The cost will commensurate with the consumer proposition, which is still being worked out.”
