Star, Sony rules out alliance with Zee

A revival of Zee’s alliance with Star or a possible partnership with Sony does not seem to be on the cards, at least for now. Three days after Zee Telefilms chairman Subhash Chandra, indicated that Zee may not be averse to an alliance with either of its main rivals in India, senior officials of both Sony and Star have ruled out any such partnership.

Officially, heads of both Star India and Sony Entertainment Television are treating the issue with their usual corporate reticence.
