Star Plus leads the pack with its Hindi blitzkrieg

Eight of its programmes have grabbed the top 8 slots in the Top 50 programmes countdown, according to a nine-city TV rating points (TRPs) complied by ACNielsen TAM. With KBC being the favourite, Star Plus’ othe rprogrammes like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki too have nudged out other established serials from the Top 10 list. The TAM figures, compiled during the week beginning October 29, which also was the second week of Zee TV’s SDCK, show the only non Star Plus programme to figure was Sony’s Henna with an average TRP of 5.6 in the nine cities with the highest being 8.2 in Mumbai on November 3. Zee TV’s Koshish is ahead of SDCK at the No 12 spot with an average TRP of 5.4 in the cities surveyed.
