Siti Cable to continue 'blackout' of STAR channels

Zee TV-owned Siti Cable on Friday said it would continue to blank out all channels of the STAR TV network, and that the two warring sides had not conducted any negotiations on restarting transmission of the STAR bouquet of channels.

Since January 23, Siti Cable has stopped showing the entire STAR bouquet of channels in Delhi and several other states, alleging that STAR has forced cable operators to pay increased subscription rates for pay channels -- including Hindi movie channel STAR Gold.

On its part, STAR TV network said it was not forcing the cable operators to carry movie pay channel STAR Gold, and alleged that Siti Cable had blanked out the STAR channels on its own.
