Sahara TV to revamp programmes

Sahara TV is planning to consolidate it programming and operations before launching a bouquet of new channels, including those on music and some regional languages. A global news channel is also on the anvil.

The channel is also looking for a new programming head specialized in Hindi programmes. The channel claims that although it has 70 per cent connectivity, this is restricted to certain markets and is also not part of the prime band. It is therefore looking at expanding its reach by increasing its connectivity.
