Rajesh Pant, Kacon Sethi quit Sony Entertainment Television

Two top level Sony Entertainment Television (SET) executives, Rajesh Pant and Kacon Sethi, have quit. Rajesh Pant was chief operating officer (COO) and number two in SET with additional charge of the new division, SET Pictures. This was anticipated in the advertising & media circle as SET has been restructuring and downsizing to maintain its profitability.

Ms. Kacon Sethi was executive vice president and in charge of sales and marketing and headed the SET Max channel.

Rajesh Pant, who joined SET from Citicorp in Dubai, was last year moved to take charge of a freshly formed SET Pictures division when the company decided to enter the field of film production and distribution aggressively. Pant''''s initial projects included international distribution of the film Mission Kashmir and Lagaan.
