Raj Television gets govt. nod to set up teleport in Chennai

The government has permitted Raj Television Network Ltd., which owns two Tamil channels, Raj TV and Raj Digital Plus, to establish a teleport in Chennai. The facility will enable the company to uplink its channels from India. However, according to Mr. M Raajhendhran, MD, Raj Television, the broadcasters who want to avail of the company's uplinking services must get the I&B Ministry's approval.
