Prasar Bharati to interact with cable operators, invites bids from agencies

Prasar Bharati has invited bids from experienced agencies for interacting with cable operators in 27 cities to ensure proper distribution of Doordarshan channels. The agency will monitor and ensure proper distribution of DD channels by cable operators on their networks, as per various provisions of the Cable TV (Network) Regulation Act, and other government regulations issued from time to time.

The agency will also ensure that cable operators in the 27 contracted cities take digital signals of DD-1 and D-II channels from satellite. The last date for submitting the offers is July 13. The preliminary bids, for the purpose of shortlisting the agencies, will be opened on July 16. The date of opening the price bid has not been announced so far.
