Pentamedia expecting a higher growth

The Rs 570-crore Pentamedia Graphics Ltd expects to grow above the industry rates of 40 per cent in the current fiscal. The demand for entertainment continues unabated even in a sluggish economy.

The order book position stands at $160-170 million to be executed over the next 15 months. The company is rolling out its children’s channel ‘Splash’ which would be available in a month.

Intellivision, a wholly owned subsidiary, will be hiring transponder in satellites such as Asiasat and Globestar to make available the channel to large parts of the world. Also, the channel would be broadcast over the net through Num TV.

Meanwhile, the company has decided to retain the acquired companies such as Media Dreams, Mayajaal, Kris Srikkant Sports and Entertainment as separate companies to facilitate strategic investors to pick up a stake in them. This is against the earlier plan to merger these entities into one to provide a critical mass.
