NDTV offloads equity stake in new venture to ICICI

NDTV said that financial institution (FI) ICICI has picked up “between 10 per cent to 20 per cent” equity stake in the company’s proposed entertainment channel “NDTV World” and several other FIs are in talks with it for picking up further equity. “One of the companies of ICICI group has picked up between 10 per cent to 20 per cent stake in NDTV World.

Formed in December last year, NDTV World is expected to be launched as an entertainment channel with both Hindi and English language programming.
