Miditech planning to enter into TV soaps, family drama segment

Miditech is planning to enter the hugely-popular television soaps and family dramas segment. The company is also planning to get into programming for the regional channels.

Miditech is talking to DD for time slots on the yet-to-be-launched channel — DD Bharati. The company is looking at producing health-related programmes for the channel. According to the company sources, the focus is currently on the soon-to-be-premiered reality adventure show on Zee — Romance, Adventure Aap Aur Hum (RAAAH). Miditech has already canned two four-episode series — one in Spiti (Himachal Pradesh) and the other in Rajasthan. A third would be shot shortly.

According to media analysts, the success of these new initiatives will be critical for the future of the company, for it has plans to tap the capital markets soon.
