Kher blames Zee for bad results

After the Bombay High Court’s turned down his plea on Zee TV’s Sawwal Dus Crore Ka (SDCK), actor Anupam Kher is now exploring options of filing a damage or a defamation suit against Zee. SDCK will air its last episode today with Kher and Manisha Koirala as hosts before taking a break to emerge in a new avtaar. Far from being disheartened about the court ruling, Kher seemed upbeat and said, “The court has decided rightly, because, as they say I had not been employed by the channel for more than 30 days.” Talking about the channel’s demand from him to return Rs 35 lakh of the advance of Rs 1 crore that he got, he said, “I only hope that they don’t pursue this demand.” Kher was supposed to get Rs 3 crore and 90 lakh for 156 episodes of the show. Kher also lambasted Zee’s decision to hold the anchors solely responsible for the debacle of the show.
