WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson Co. has turned its Singapore office into a regional creative hub which "will work across all of our multinational clients including Unilever. JWT, Singapore will work with creative teams throughout Southeast Asia and, to a lesser extent, the rest of Asia and international markets, under the direction of Executive Creative Director, Andrew Spurgeon.
The Singapore office has already contributed on global projects for Unilever and Shell Oil Co. -- although few of JWT's multinational clients are actually based in Singapore. Unilever, for example, does not have an Asia/Pacific headquarters. Instead, the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant has a series of innovation centers determined by product category, such as Bangkok for hair care.
