Jain Studios plans to invest Rs 15 crore in the next six months

Jain Studios Limited plans to invest upto Rs 15 crore in the next six months to build a TV studio in Mumbai to strengthen its programming. The investment also includes buying digital satellite news gathering equipments to enhance its news operations around the country.

As part of its restructuring exercise, Jain TV is moving away from providing general news to concentrate on business and IT content. Jain Tv commands 0.6 per cent of A C Nielsen’s TAM ratings in 27 cities, cumulative 10 minute viewership compared to CNBC’s 0.3 per cent, Zee News’ 6.8 per cent, Star News’ 2.8 per cent and BBC’s 1.1 per cent in the week ended November 18.
