IOC to set up its own TV broadcasting company

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) plans to set up its own TV broadcasting company for future Olympic games. The company will take over the Olympic Broadcasting Organisation, headed by Mr. Spaniard Manolo Romero. Mr. Romero will head the new company. The IOC will have an 80 per cent stake in the new company.

The company will begin operations for the 2008 summer games.
