I&B ministry yet to take decision on PTV ban

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry is not in a retaliatory mood yet as far as airing of PTV is concerned. Indian cable operators here were expecting a ban on the Pak channel in view of the blacking out of Indian channels in Pakistan.

Following a ban on Indian channels, including Doordarshan, Star and Zee in Pakistan two days ago, there has been much speculation on whether India would retaliate by banning PTV in the country. According to I&B official the ministry is not thinking on those lines.

Cable operators in Pakistan took a decision on September 24 to stop airing Indian channels saying that they had unleashed a negative propaganda against Pakistan after the attack on the US.
