HTA Salary Freeze: Chief to persuade WPP board. To announce major account gain.

Concerned about the implications of the news which appeared in The Economic Times, and particularly the effect it would have on the staff morale in HTA, IPAN and Contract, Mike Khanna wrote about the steps taken by HTA to ‘melt’ the freeze.

He pointed out that the Indian operations has made a significant revenue growth of 12%. He also clarified that the Indian operations has not only met but also exceeded profit targets.

Mike Khanna said that they have already made representations to JWT management to make India an exception to the worldwide mandate, and lift the proposed salary freeze. “We are hopeful that the JWT management will consider our proposal favourably after taking into account their worldwide position”, he said.

Mike also announced the new business account. Without naming the company, he said that it is supposed to be one of the respected MNC consumer electronic brand, which will contribute substantially towards maintaining a healthy bottom line.
