HBO Asia seals exclusive movie deal with Franchise Pictures

HBO Asia has concluded an exclusive movie deal with independent company Franchise Pictures, for its Asia and South Asia services. The six star-studded movies in the deal are in the action and thriller genres. They are 3,000 miles to Graceland, The Caveman’s Valentine, Heist, Angel Eyes, City By The Sea and Driven. This is the second deal that HBO Asia has concluded with Franchise this year. The channel has exclusive licensing deals with its Hollywood studio equity partners Warner Brothers, Columbia, TriStar, Paramount and Universal. It also has an exclusive licensing deal with Dream Works SKG. The channel reaches out to 8 million homes in India and has been voted by a recent Television Asia survey as the best in the programming, sales and marketing, on air looks, popularity, value for money and viewer feedback categories.
