In a bid to promote its products, especially printers, Hewlett Packard is organising a corporate challenger quiz, jointly with sports channel ESPN and Oberoi.
According to company sources, the whole idea of corporate challenger quiz is to bring a consortium of organisations using sports to deliver the company’s message.
According to company the contest for designers was meant to attract the larger segment of creative director, graphic designers, professionals from advertising agencies, pre-press agencies at the launch of DesignJet printers.
HP has started organising events for end-customers very recently. They are planning to have about one every quarter, depending on the success of the current one.
Interestingly, HP realised that mailers being sent were no longer evoking much of a response and the roadshow conducted in January was a dampner as well. This made the company to latched on to a fancier events to attract potential customers.
