ESPN-Star Sports to launch interactive game show

ESPN-Star Sports is getting ready to challenge the knowledge of all cricket fans with Super Selector, which will be launched on September 21.

The winner of the interactive show will get a lifetime opportunity to share the commentary box with cricket legends. Actor and cricket enthusiast Naseeruddin Shah will host the preview and review shows of Super Selector.

The channel will rope in celebrities ranging from Amir Khan to Sunil Gavaskar in an ongoing exercise to keep the best competition going.

The first phase of the show will have the actual game online (espnstar.com). The participant will go to the site, make his dream team that can be picked up from those cricketing teams which will play international matches in the subsequent month, and post it. A dream team will be having five batsmen, four bowlers, one wicket keeper and one all-rounder.

For the month beginning October, a ‘Super Selector’ participant will have to post his dream team latest by September 30 to ESPN-Star Sports. The condition, however, is that the team members of the dream team should be playing international matches in the month of October.

The participant will have the option of substituting three players at a later stage. The modalities of the game are available on the channel Website.

While the first stage of the competition is mainly an online initiative the next phase will see this programme rolling on to the SMS and telephone also.
