Discovery to air Mammoth sequel

Discovery Channel will air a sequel of Raising the Mammoth. The two hour special, depicting the exciting Siberian airlift of a rare woolly mammoth had won an Emmy award. The sequel, titled Land of the Mammoth will be shown on March 11 from 8 to 9 pm.

Land of the Mammoth chronicles the expedition from August to November 2000 into Siberia’s Taimyr Peninsula to search for more prehistoric remains. The show follows French explorer Bernard Buigues as he organises the largest expedition every undertaken in paleontoloty of the Pleistocene era.
