Discovery hires BBDO for Latin business

Discovery Networks Latin America/Iberia has selected Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, Miami, to handle regional advertising for its six pan-regional pay-TV networks: Discovery Channel, People + Arts, Animal Planet, Discovery Kids, Discovery Health and Discovery Travel & Adventure.

Given the wide variety of target audiences for the six channels, "it was critical to partner with an agency that has insight into all segments of the Latin American and Iberian marketplace," Mr. Stephen Friedman, vice president of marketing said in a statement.
