DD gets ready for internal revamp

The national broadcaster’s recently-revamped channel DD-11’s prime time ratings are up from 7 to 10 and revenues for this fiscal are expected to touch Rs 700 crore.

Mr. Rajeeva Ratna Shah, CEO, Broadcasting Corporation of India, said that DD-World’s bouquet of six channels, which would be broadcast through DTH and cable networks in the UK, the US, Europe, Africa, Canada and SE Asia, would generate revenues of Rs 26 crore in the first year itself, adding up to a total of Rs 250 crore over a five-year period.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
