Cygnus signs deal with ATN World

Cygnus will kick off from Bengali New Year's day on April 14 with six hours of TV programmes and an hour of news. It will add on another two hours in the next two months. The entire 19-hour programming will crystallise by October. Telecasts will feature under the `Cygnus Time' banner but will carry both the logos.

Cygnus will farm out non fictions covering health, student and marriage issues, mega serials, detective thrillers, comedies, spooky serials, a slot exclusively for women, current affairs and sports updates and profiles of NRIs. The sports slot will include soccer coverage.

The soccer portion will be dubbed Chima Times. The company is negotiating with big TV software production house to put together a quiz programme. Mithun is likely to step in as the anchorman in some shows of the new face ATN World.
