CTV on comeback trail

After a double-digit negative growth in the second quarter, the colour television (CTV) segment is on a comeback trail with a sales growth of 9.7 per cent in the third quarter. BPL still leads the segment with a market share of 19.2 per cent for the first nine months ended September 2000, multinational players like Samsung, LG, Aiwa and Sony are slowly climbing up the ladder. The cumulative figure for the nine months stood at 35 lakh TVs, up 9.6 per cent over the corresponding period last year.
