CNN to start off two India-based programmes

CNN, which launched its South Asia channel in July, is likely to await the stabilization of its main news channel before bringing in other channels from its international bouquet. CNN launched two locally produced shows for its South Asia channel. The two half-hour programme – CNN indiadotcom and Style South Asia, will start broadcast from November 11, 2000. The programme is being produced by UTV. CNN indiadotcom, to be presented by Mr Anish Trivedi, will focus on information technology and Style South Asia, hosted by Ms. Mallika Sarabhai, will showcase lifestyle, art, architecture, food fashion and personalities from across the sub-continent.
