The business news and analysis channel, CNBC India, has surpassed other news channels such as Star News, Aaj Tak, Zee News and BBC in the socio-economic category SEC A households, according to a AC Nielsen TAM viewership rating for four weeks ending March 10. The study covered cable and satellite homes in nine cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kochi. The respondents were in the age group of 25 plus and the survey covered weekday viewing between 6 am and midnight.
