Buena Vista ties up with McDonalds for McDonalds-Disney Hour Kids Awards

Buena Vista Television India (BVTI) has tied up with McDonalds to bring to Indian children, for the first time ever, the “McDonalds-Disney Hour Kids Awards”.

The McDonalds-Disney Hour Kids Awards, in association with Indiatimes.com and Maaza, is all about kids taking control and nominating their very own favourites across seven categories viz.: Hindi Movie, Bollywood Actor, Bollywood Actress, Sportstar, Hindi Movie Song, Disney Hour Toon and Comic book.

There will be five panel-selected nominees in each category. Voters can also select their own nominees in case their favourites do not figure among the nominees already selected.

Voting forms are available to children (under 14 years) all over the country at any McDonalds outlet with Happy Meals, at select schools in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Jaipur and also at www.indiatimes.com.

Details of voting modalities, which include Early Bird prize every week can be viewed on the Disney Hour, daily at 6 p.m. on Sony Entertainment Television.

And for the first time, the voters get to present the awards to the winners! Four lucky children will meet and present the McDonalds-Disney Hour Kids Award to their star winner in four of the categories namely Actor, Actress, Movie (producer) and Sportsperson.

Voting is open to kids at all the entry points mentioned above between January 1 and January 24, 2002.
