Broadcast Worldwide up for sale

The Ratikanta Basu promoted TARA channels are up for sales. The Broadcast Worldwide, which owns the four regional language channels, have been looking out for buyers. The company has approached several broadcasters to either pick up substantial equity or buy out the channels, but did not find any takers.

The company is also considering separating the Bengali language channel into a separate company from the other three language channels – Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi – and sell the two seperately.
