B4U Multimedia International, is planning to reposition its entertainment channel this year, after only 4 months of its launch. The company has asked AC Nielson for strategic input. The move has been prompted due to increasing competition from rival entertainment channels. The company has set aside 12 per cent of its entire budget for market research till March 2001.
AC Nielson is understood to be doing an in-depth study of nine cities, targeting them on the basis of high TRPs. The result of the research will be presented to B4U next week. Based on the findings B4U Multimedia is expected to take crucial programming decisions for next year.
The company will also decide on advertisement for the coming year.
