AXN to air ‘’The Amazing Race’ from November 7

AXN will show a new reality based series called ‘The Amazing Race’ from 7 November, at 9 p.m. It features 11 couples in a competition to race from one end of the world to the other. The winner gets $ 1 million. Each episode will have repeats on Saturday at 5 p.m. and on Sunday morning at 10 am.

The show which has been produced by Jerry Bruckheimer who was also responsible for Pearl Harbour and The Rock is expected to grab the attention of the viewer due to its unpredictable nature.

The couples have to use different modes of transport like taxis, bicycles, boats and trains. Teams lagging behind will gradually are eliminated. Phil Keoghan is the inimitable host.

According to Todd Miller, managing director, AXN Asia, The Amazing Race promises to be more thrilling and entertaining than any show in the reality TV genre so far. It has all the elements - a highly successful programme format that is a well engineered hybrid of a game show, a soap series and voyeurism that has made reality TV a world-wide phenomenon."
