Arun Nanda, chairman of Rediffusion DY&R India, has been appointed co-chairman of the $2 billion DY&R-Wunderman Alliance, along with Yasuo Yoshitome, co-chairman of DY&R Asia. The Alliance will monitor the operations and integration of DY&R Asia Pacific and Wunderman Asia.
The two would also be working out a growth strategy in a situation where the “clients’ budgets have remained stagnant while the pricing of services have been rising. Nanda would continue to be based in Mumbai.
DY&R has 33 offices in 13 countries, while Wunderman has 14 offices in nine Asian nations.
The rationale behind the integration would be to provide a single-stop solution to clients that would recognise all the pressures on business and handle both communication and strategy needs.
