Anupam Kher amends petition against Zee Tele

Film actor Anupam Kher has amended his petition in the Mumbai High Court urging for a direction to restrain Zee Telefilms from discontinuing the game show Sawal Dus Crore Ka without him as one of the hosts. He has now challenged the notice of December 9 served on him by Zee Telefilms Ltd. informing the actor about its abrupt decision to discontinue his services as host of the programme.

On December 7, the actor filed an arbitration petition apprehending that he would be removed from anchoring the show. Two days later he was served with the notice of termination and hence he urged the court to allow him amend the petition. On December 11, the court had allowed his plea to amend the petition by incorporating the notice of termination served on him by Zee Telefilms Ltd. Anupam’s petition will come up for hearing before justice K K Baam today.

Anupam pleaded that he had not committed any breach of the agreement either orally or in writing and that Zee had not raised such a grievance while terminating the contract.
