In the wake of the terrorist attacks in the US, leading media buying agencies are now charting out new plans with an emphasis on major news channels such as Aaj Tak, Star News and Zee news. The rationale behind the shift in focus is the growing viewership for news channels.

In fact, soon after the attack in Manhattan, channels such as CNN and BBC almost stopped beaming television commercials (TVC) in between their news capsules.
