Ads on autorickshaws The Calcutta-based Gladston Ad-A-Cab Ltd has launched for the first time in the country the ‘ad-on-cab’ concept on autorickshaws in Gujarat. This concept is being dubbed as the ‘outdoor media of the future. The concept is widely prevalent abroad and introduced on car taxis in Calcutta two years back. Since no taxi ply in Ahmedabad city, the company proposes to fit the system on 1,000 autoriickshwas in the first year. Aerodynamically designed, each billboard with eight sq. ft of illuminated display area is run on battery, re-charged when the three-wheeler is moving.
