Vh1 Supersonic 2017 leaves no stone unturned to provide a safe and secure festival experience

It is better to err on the side of caution. Vh1 Supersonic 2017 seems to have pretty much internalized this concept and used it as a mantra while designing the festival experience in Pune this year. In order to provide patrons with a safe and secure festival experience, the organizers have gone all out to ensure that no stone is left unturned where security measures are concerned, leaving visitors impressed.

Vh1 Supersonic has taken some strong steps to ensure that festival goers get to indulge in revelry without having to worry about their safe-keep: 12 watch towers have been erected across the perimeter of the festival venue, 80 guards and 70 bouncers have been positioned on ground to ensure good, clean fun, while 30 women guards have been hired to help women feel safer while bringing issues of their concern.

With a strong police bandobast across the venue, with an emergency van, and 30 police personnel on ground, the festival has ensured that fond memories of music and hanging out with friends at experience zones are what the audience leaves with.

Vh1 Supersonic has worked relentlessly to ensure that women feel as safe as the men at the crowded venue and have as great an experience as their male counterparts at the festival. Besides women guards on duty, a “women only” bar has been arranged.

State-of-the-art emergency medical facilities are in place, with doctors, nurses, ambulances, and First Aid. Easy access to water and a large number of resting zones, including lounging areas, benches, yurts have been arranged to allow the audiences to catch a breath, rewind and relax between performances.

A ‘NO DRUGS ALLOWED’ announcement greets festival goers at the entry point, laying down the rules. Vh1 Supersonic has adopted a zero tolerance policy toward the sale and consumption of drugs. Vh1 Supersonic believes in entertainment and great experiences, and drugs do not feature on this list, say organisers.

On Day 1 of the festival, the visitors were not only impressed by the safety arrangements at the venue, but also appreciated the work put in by the security guards on ground. It was heartening to see patrons cooperating with the guards at the entry point where they had to surrender flammable objects of any kind to avoid mishaps at the festival. The festival has kept up its reputation as the venue for those in it purely for the music and the experience.
