Rapper Badshah creates rap anthem for 94.3 MY FM

94.3 MY FM launched a radio rap anthem for their station. The jingle was composed and sung by rapper Badshah of ‘Saturday’ and ‘Abhi toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’ fame.

Launching the new jingle of MY FM, Badshah said, “It gave me immense pleasure to compose this jingle for one of the leading radio channels, 94.3 MY FM. They wanted to highlight their product philosophy, music selection process, content creation process and organisation’s customer centric focus. I had to infuse my style and make an anthem based on this. I believe singers always seek an opportunity to connect with the audience and I thank 94.3 MY FM for providing such a great platform.”

An integrated marketing campaign has been organised for the rap song through various platforms of traditional and online marketing. The campaign has been promoted using print innovation in Dainik Bhaskar and DNA, to give it maximum exposure through digitally equipped social platforms like-Youtube and Facebook.

The anthem is also available as ringtone across various mobile operators.

On the release of the new jingle, Viplove Gupte, National Programming Head commented, “Sometimes it just starts with a very vague idea in mind to create an anthem for radio. While exploring the options on who should create this anthem, one name stood out prominently, who was not only popular but talented too – Badshah.”

The song uses the radio channel’s tag line ‘Jiyo Dil Se’ in the chorus and goes on to describe how content is created and play lists made for listeners.

Commenting on the release, Harrish M Bhatia, CEO, 94.3 MY FM said, “The vibrant and widely popular Badshah composed the jingle purely from his own imagination. He had a brief to work with, but there was no restriction from our side, hence you can hear the style of Badshah meeting the content of MY FM. This initiative is the first of its kind. No other radio station in the world has ever created a rap anthem describing the content of the radio station. Not only did it showcase what our philosophy is, but also how we bring unique content to our listeners.”
