PotenciaMentis Global Consulting designs & launches INSPIRA - SEE WoMen Leaders Evolve on July 7th & 8th

In a growth market like India where the biggest challenge is constant change, the development of women leaders needs to be faster, more focussed & persistent. At present, it is fragmented & the need of the hour is affirmative action. To address this gap for high growth markets, PotenciaMentis Global Consulting has designed & launched INSPIRA - SEE WoMen Leaders Evolve on July 7th & 8th 2015. INSPIRA is an innovative movement to develop & build a pipeline of senior women leaders.

PotenciaMentis Global Consulting is a global OD consulting company that partners with leaders, teams and organisations to transform the way they harness people |potential | profits. Their core lies in Coaching | Consulting | facilitating in the niche space of leadership | Talent | Diversity.

Leveraging the McKinsey and Catalyst research in the space of women leaders, PotenciaMentis a global OD consulting organisation has carved out a unique development model: SEE

S – Strategic Thinking | E - Executive Impact & E – Emotional Intelligence.

S - Strategic Thinking - Firstly, there is no debate, strategic thinking, is cited as one of the most valued skills in our world, today. Secondly, there is no doubt that we need women leaders in business, as they SEE the world differently. Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo says “When there’s that moment of ‘Wow, I’m not really sure I can do this,’ and you push through those moments, that’s when you have a breakthrough.”

At INSPIRA the focus is think strategically - shift your orbit and close the leadership gap – it could be innovating on an existing business | product | market | exploring a new country. “Ranjan Malik the guru on innovation will provide a hands-on experience at INSPIRA”.

E - Executive Impact- Executive presence' indeed plays a part in why people get promoted. According to research by Sylvia Hewlett, Centre for Talent Innovation, it's responsible for 26% of the reason why people move up.  Meanwhile, in the Center for Talent Innovation study, women said feedback on executive presence is often contradictory and confusing, which may be why a whopping 81% say they’re unclear about how to act on it.

Gravitas, communication & appearance make up Executive Presence. One aspect of gravitas is “grace under fire”. Rosenfeld, CEO of Mondelez International, says “Our emerging workforce is not interested in command-and-control leadership. They don’t want to do things because I said so; they want to do things because they want to do them.”  INSPIRA will focus on unravelling Executive presence & what aspects of gravitas, communication & appearance – will make the winning combination.

E stands for Emotional Intelligence – A global 75,000 global data point study done by Six Seconds: The Emotional Intelligence Network called it the “State of the Heart” survey. It is basically an EQ SWOT that enables us to understand how we can we bring out EQ to our life and work every day.

In the results of the Six Seconds’ survey, Mr. and Ms. Average reflect as nearly opposite on EQ Competencies. The greatest weakness of Mr. Average is the ability to pause and consider impact of decision before taking action (apply consequential thinking). And women have this as their strength.

Ms. Average’s greatest weakness is navigating emotions e.g. stuck in the organisation matrix, a women leader finds it difficult to fight or flight at the right time.

We will be offering a free Six Seconds brain brief profile which will be aligned to the State of the Heart (SOH) survey USA & we will provide companies with a SOH India report. Our LAB on day two will be led by none other than the CEO, Six Seconds, Joshua Freedman one of the world’s pre-eminent experts on developing EQ for positive change.
