Manorama News' conclave on Jun 3 to measure happiness quotient of Malayalees

In a bid to find out how happy and content the people of Kerala are on the state turning 60, Manorama News is organizing a conclave covering the state’s socialpoliticalcultural spectrum in Kochi on June 3, 2017.

The conclave with the central theme of ‘happiness’ will discuss a wide range of topics including politics, entertainment, wellness, emerging talent, confidence of Malayalee women, among others. Experts from various fields such as politics, cinema, bureaucracy and more will attend the day-long event.

A ‘Happiness Survey’ to measure the happiness of Malayalees would also be conducted as part of the conclave. Many countries have rejected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as the only way to measure progress as they feel Gross National Happiness (GNH) should be the measurement to gauge a nation’s prosperity. Denmark has been declared the planet’s most contented nation, while India ranks 118th out of 156 countries in a global list of the happiest countries. For the first time, a Malayalam channel is taking up a task of such magnitude. The inauguration of the conclave would be done by the Honourable CM and the key note address will be made by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Asset Homes is the presenting sponsor for the event. Rose Biriyani Rice and Pittappillil Agencies are the co-presenting sponsors.

The official website of Manorama News Conclave was inaugurated by Hon. Governor Justice P.Sathasivam at Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram on May 25.
