Indianexpress.com emerges third largest General English News website in India

As per the Comscore numbers for the month of March 2015, indianexpress.com has moved up the charts considerably.

With 3.83 million unique sessions, Indianexpress.com now stands ahead of many players in the industry, including thehindu.com, ibnlive.com, firstpost.com and hindustantimes.com.

In March, the website was positioned No 3 in the category of General English News websites in India, in terms of unique visitors which is a jump of 31 per cent over the previous month. The site clocked 9.3 million total visits and 22 million page views during the said period.

Delivering news for both print and online, indianexpress.com has successfully replicated the print brand experience online, with a commitment to honest credible news reportage, she said.

According to a company statement, with coverage of the World Cup, indianexpress.com attracted and retained new audiences, partly due to a high engagement on social media platforms. Articles across genres got shares and comments, resulting in an unprecedented viral.
