Fourth Dimension revives drama in Coimbatore

Chennai-based media outsourcing company Fourth Dimension Media Solutions has initiated a concept titled ‘Nataka Vizha’, a drama festival in Coimbatore. The festival is being sponsored by RMKV and powered by Karur Vysya Bank.

Fourth Dimension’s other initiatives have been Puthiya Thalaimurai Thamizhan Awards, Puthiyathalaimurai Vittuku Oru Vignani Awards 2012 (Science Innovation Awards) across Tamil Nadu, Aircel Student Ambassador Event (largest college activation), Aircel Fastest Finger Fight (to promote 3G in corporates) and Max Little Icons 2011.

“The main purpose of the event is to revive and innovate something which has never been done in such a large scale. Drama used to be the staple diet of Tamilians before the advent of television, so-called big superstars of today have all been an active part of drama at one stage – from K Balachander, legendary comedian Nagesh to MGR,” said B Shankar, CEO, Fourth Dimension.

The company has roped in veteran drama artistes like CrazyMohan, YG Mahendra, Kathadi, TV Varadarajan and Ganesh. The event will be held on July 22, 28, 29 and August 5 and 5.

The event is being heavily promoted on radio, print, local cable channels and outdoor. Fourth Dimension has a tie-up with leading cable operators in Coimbatore, where they will create special vignettes and voiceovers of these artistes on radio and television. Apart from this, there are also unique RJ mentions that the radio station is working out. Print will feature ads announcing the drama festival.

The event several co-sponsors on board, including Hygreavar Estates, Welltex Dhoties, SBM Paints, Great Ventures and Consol Construction Solutions, to name a few.

Shankar said, “The sponsors are very unique as you can see RMKV usually participates only in unique marketing opportunities and powered by Karur Vysya Bank (in the banking sector), which is headquartered in Coimbatore, for them Coimbatore market is very important.”

“The success of the event is largely due to limited entertainment options in a market like Coimbatore and people are really excited seeing the response,” said Bharath V, COO, Fourth Dimension Media.

Fourth Dimension Media Solutions is a media outsourcing company based out of Chennai and having their presence in Mumbai and Delhi. The company represents Tamil news channel Puthiyathalaimurai TV, Puthiyathalaimurai magazine, V6 News (Andhra’s Leading news channel), Chennai Live 104.8 FM and also does a lot of events and activations.
