Dainik Bhaskar Group launches online platform 'The Great Indian Wedding'

DB Corp Limited (DBCL), India’s largest print media company and home to flagship newspapers Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi, and Saurashtra Samachar, today announced the launch of ‘The Great Indian Wedding’—a unique online platform that invites marketers and media agencies focused on capturing the potential of the wedding season, to choose/customise advertising packages and avail significant gratifications along with 3 mega bumper prizes. The Group has created its own Intellectual Property for the platform. The platform will be available to advertisers for two months: December 2016 and January 2017.

Indian weddings have evolved from being a family affair to a mega social event packed with glamour. Today, a person in India spends about one-fifth of his wealth on a wedding ceremony. The Indian wedding business is estimated to be about Rs. 2.5 lakh crore and expanding exponentially. With a rapidly growing pie, the space offers marketers immense potential to reach out to the specific segment of discerning Indian consumers and tap into their cultural appetite. This category has also spawned allied segments such as photography, beauty and wellness, jewellery, fashion, customized trousseau, gifts, destinations and locations, food and beverage, fitness, décor, etc., which draw great benefits from the wedding season.
